How can Irish local libraries be more accessible, relevant, and welcoming to patrons living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease?
We are looking to speak with library and dementia and Alzheimer’s community stakeholders in the Republic of Ireland about ways to improve physical space, collections, programming, and training to make local libraries more age friendly for older adults with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Are you...
- A local librarian, employee, or volunteer?
- A member of a dementia or Alzheimer’s disease stakeholder group? (e.g., administrator, organiser, volunteer, family carer or friend)
- Between the ages of 18-64?
- Participation in a 45-60 minute Zoom or telephone interview
- Interviews will be audio recorded and machine transcribed
- Transcripts will be de-identified and appear in research publications, presentations, and meetings
- Improve spaces, resources, and programming at local libraries
- Inform training of current and future librarians
- Represent your local community
